About Marketa
Marketa Dolezalova is a hairdresser, make-up artist and educator, working in her field for over 25 years. She started her career with Estee Lauder in the Czech Republic as a high-end make-up artist catering to professional models, actors, and even make-up artist for the wife of former president of the Czech Republic, Vaclav Havel. Estee Lauder utilized her unique talents and expertise by making her director of their beauty school.
Marketa found her passion for make-up and hairstyling working on professional photo shoots for private clients and various publications throughout Europe and Australia. She also worked on the fashion shows for well known brands like Marina Rinaldi, Benetton, Max Mara and the Czech fashion designers like Pepa Klir and Helena Mertlova.
In 2001 Marketa’s talent took her to Sydney, Australia where she fell in love with the people, the land, and the culture. She had found her new home. She was offered work in photography studios and with private clients until she was presented with the opportunity to work on exclusive cruise lines travelling around the world doing what she loves.
In 2009 Marketa learnt about hair from medical point of view by working in a hair transplant clinic as an office manager and surgical assistant. Her passion for teaching returned when she then became an educator once again in Sydney for 5 years.
Marketa finally decided to open her own salon in 2015 in Neutral Bay where she could look after her clients and give the attention to detail that she always wanted. As Marketa has been always interested in art and design, in 2022 she enrolled to Torrens University to study Bachelor of Interior Design and in 2023 she moved her business to its neighbourhood – to Cremorne.
